Your Spiritual Connection Centers: Basic External Applications

What follows is the basic external applications for conducting a Lightworking session. These basic applications are not exclusive and should be considered a starting point for future learning. The most important lesson for Level I Lightworkers to learn is to put the hands where it hurts. Listen to your client's complaints and put your hands where the client says pain exists. Listen to the flow of Light within your body. When the Light stops, it's time to move on. Five minutes per position is a good place to start, but following your intuition is more important than following set instructions. Learn to feel the Light and follow these feelings to the places of greatest pain and stress in the client's body.

Remember to be slow and considerate when touching your client. Lead with the base of your hand and then gently place your palm followed by the fingers. Don't grip with the fingers or it will feel to the client that you're groping him or her. Remember too to be aware of how much of your body weight you put into your hands. It's very easy to lean forward on your hands during a session, but if you do this it will feel to your client that you're squishing him or her. Only rest the weight of the hands and arms on the client - keep your own weight centered over your hips. When you move your hands, lift the fingers first, followed by the palm, and then the base of the hand. This sequence of base-palm-fingers and fingers-palm-base for placing and removing the hands creates the least disturbance for the client.

There is no set series of hand positions. Some positions and sequences of positions are better than others (and this will be discussed at Levels II and III), but for now the most important thing to learn is to become comfortable simply doing the work. Suggested sessions are as follows:
  • Short Session (15 minutes): 12, 14, 15
  • Medium Session (30 minutes): 6, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15
  • Long Session (45 minutes): 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15

You'll notice that there are more listed hand positions on this page than there are hand positions listed on the suggested sessions. That's because you won't use every hand position in every session. Each client is different, and although some positions will be used more than others, you're not required to address each position every time. Listen to your clients. Listen to your intuition. Listen to the flow of Light. Learn to feel the stress and go where your time and energy are most needed. And above all, use the following list of hand positions as a guide to become familiar how to place your hands during a session.
