Happy Wednesday, Sault Ste. Marie! For today's Tarot meditation, I'm looking at the combination:
Fool + Magician: Meddling in other people's business is a troublesome thing by nature, but even more so when you don't see beyond the immediate goal of creating upset in outside affairs. Chaos is a necessary and useful force, but the consequences of recklessly applying it to others without consideration for the consequences in one's own life is foolishness of the highest order.
What can we learn about this combination when viewed through the lense of world events?

The leading headline in news for Ontario is the matter of Premier Wynne's announcement that she'll make an announcement in the New Year regarding how Ontario will cut 90% of its greenhouse gases by 2050. Now, don't get me wrong - I think this is a great plan and I'm all for keeping our province clean and green - but at the same time, how is this going to be accomplished without totally disrupting business and the ability of Ontario residents' life and work? I suppose it's possible that Premier Wynne's announcement will be a great solution, but the impression I get from today's Tarot meditation is that the answers her government puts forth will involve a lot of "rules for thee, but not for me" that leave a lot of big businesses in the black, and a lot of little people in the red. Still... there's no denying that something has to be done, and that something must happen sooner than later. Fast action is necessary right now, but I worry that the sense of urgency behind the response of Premier Wynne (and others around Canada and the world) will overlook important obstacles that will create problems later.
