Happy Thursday, Sault Ste. Marie! For today's Tarot meditation, let's look at the combination of Death and the Empress. The world is a crazy place, and everybody's competing with everybody else to get not just what they need to survive, but to find some measure of satisfaction and happiness in this amazing and cruel world in which we find ourselves. An integral skill to survival is capturing attention and appealing to others. It's not deceit - it's just marketing! If you're something special and want others to know it, don't be ashamed of putting your face in front of their eyes.
Still, having said that... trying to capture others' attention requires you to define yourself according to their desires and expectations. This tailoring of your personality and identity to fit what others are seeking necessarily requires cutting and trimming. Are you willing to adjust yourself in order to connect with people the way you desire? If yes, then savor your successes and acknowledge your power. If not, then embrace the truth that other people's opinions often count for very little, and by forgoing their involvement in your life, you open the doors to expand into other areas and in other ways.
