Happy Thursday, Sault Ste. Marie! For today's free Tarot reading, I'm responding to Anonymous Falcon who asks,

I have a family heirloom, but it no longer has any importance to me. Should I sell it?
Want to see your question answered here? Send me an email!
Hello, Anonymous Falcon; before I answer your question, I want you to understand that in my readings I"m not going to tell you what you should or shouldn't do, but I will help you evaluate choices and consider the consequences for better and worse. The only thing you "should" do is make this decision for yourself, because of course I can't take responsibility for your life.

Having said that, let's look at the choices to be had. Although this reading is about a family heirloom, the answer wouldn't be complete without looking at you since of course you are the one in control of this decision. In that sense, Why do you want to sell it? Is it really for the money? Or is it because you would gain some pleasure from selling something that you know at least one person in your family would rather you kept? The cards show a strong sentimental value attached to this item, but also show that its presence in your life is a source of frustration.

If you decide to keep this heirloom, the irritation won't go away until you address the root cause. I'm guessing that there's a much larger issue behind this heirloom; am I right? Selling the heirloom won't fix the root issue, but I can say that it will certainly create some money for you. Not a tremendous amount, but something. And I can see from the cards that you won't be sharing the money with anybody else.

And will all this bring you pleasure and satisfaction? I think it won't. My prediction from these cards is that although the sale of this heirloom will bring some money, ultimately you'll dissatisfied with the decision and will be no closer to finding a resolution for the real issue behind the frustration attached to this heirloom.
