Dear seeker, I understand that you're hoping for good news, but what I have here isn't a favorable message. Feel free to tell me if you think I'm wrong - I promise it won't hurt my feelings - but I get the impression that the two of you are feeling the end is near. Any truth to that?
Your wife seems to see the changes in this relationship much clearer than you. If she's talking about exits or isn't hopeful about the future you'll share together, you need to find out why. Figure out what she's seeing, because if this is a relationship you want to strengthen, then you need to act with a sense of urgency.
