Psychic Reading: 11 September, Virgo 2015

Announcements for Friday

TGIF, Sault Ste. Marie! As always, we're open today from 12pm to 8pm for walk-in's and browsing our selection of candles, incense, and stones, but if you're looking for a reading then you'll have to be sure to come in not later than 12.30pm or between 7pm and 8pm because I'll be across the river in Sault, Michigan. Bridge times being what they are, I'll be on the road by 1pm and back by 7pm. Of course, if you're in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, I sure hope you'll come visit me between 2pm and 6pm at Island Books & Crafts! Readings will be first-come, first-served, so come early and have your questions ready!

For today's psychic reading, I'm responding to an anonymous seeker who asks,

I've been working on a project for almost two months but my client hasn't paid me; he keeps saying he'll have the money soon. Will I get the money? If yes, when?

Well, anonymous seeker, this must be a really special client, or a really big job, for you to go two months and not get paid for your work. In any other situation, I'm sure you must be able to make perfectly rational decisions, so what's holding you back here? If the cards are to be believed, I think you and your client must have some great rapport together and this project has got to be something that's exciting to work on.

The only other explanation for why this project has gone on so long without you being paid for your time and energy is because there's something else you hope to gain from this business relationship; has this client said that he's going to introduce you to more clients, or give you more work? If so, don't believe a word of it. This entire reading is marked by hope: you hope to receive more than just payment which is why you've let this go on for so long, and your client hopes to receive as much as he can without paying which is why he's dragged it on for so long.

Will you get your money? I don't think so. This business relationship has the potential only to exhaust you and I don't see anything new entering the equation that hasn't already been introduced. In other words, your client will keep telling you how great you are, your client will continue to not pay for your work, and you'll continue battling to get payment.

Unless you've got some great kind of friendship with this person that you want to preserve, I say you should draw a line in the sand and refuse to do any more work or provide any follow-up services until this client pays what you're owed. If not, cut your losses and move on because you're wasting your time.
