Marie: Following the Millennium Clock formul, today marks the union of the 6 of Clubs and the Ace of Diamonds who teach the lesson that regardless of whatever physical possessions, wealth and money, or other material support present, you always have the ability to become dissatisfied for personal or egoic reasons. This is, more or less, along the same lines as the hypothetical question, "If Heaven were really so wonderful, would you ever choose to leave?" Some people say that the question is ridiculous, but others - myself included - believe that over time all things lose their lustre. The "shiny new-ness" eventually wears off, the originality grows old, and we begin to yearn for something else to make the world feel fresh again. Even if the alternative is worse, it's still new, and for many people that's much more exciting than an idyllic yet unchanging Eden. We humans love our creature comforts and stimulation, yet these things often turn out to be unsustainable. The challenge is to find different ways to experience new pleasure and excitement from the same sources over and over again.
