Daily Tarot Cards: 6 June, Gemini 2015

Good morning, Weekend Warriors - are you ready for the weekend? Whatever you're doing in Sault Ste. Marie this weekend, we sure hope you'll do some of it with us. Today being Saturday, this means we've got a busy day! Yoga this morning from 11am to 12pm, our members-only lightworking and healing class from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, and our weekly open healing circle from 2pm to 3pm. And of course we'll be open the rest of the day from 3pm to 8pm for walk-in Tarot readings, palm readings, and more.

A few important notes for you! First, to register for the members-only lightworking and healing class, please come a few minutes early so I can open your student file. Just like our yoga classes, your first members-only lightworking class is free. Come in and try it on for size!

Second, to attend the open healing circle, you need to already practice Reiki, lightworking, or any other hands-on healing modality. I don't ask for proof of training - I'll take your word for it! - but you need to understand that there simply won't be time at a practitioners-only circle to teach new students. There's no fee to attend the open circle, but donations are gratefully accepted for making this space available to the local healing community.

And let's talk about today's Tarot cards! Following the Millennium Clock, today is marked by the union of the 6 of Clubs and 2 of Hearts who teach the lesson that responsibility and duty to others precludes having a big ego and requires that you put other peoples' needs and desires ahead of your own. It's been said that service and humility are noble, but how many happy saints do you know? Last I checked, sainthood was marked by long suffering. Now, this isn't to say that there's no reward to be had from service and responsibility, this is simply a reminder that service to others necessarily dulls your shine because you put your time and energy away from yourself.

If you find yourself in such a situation and lament that you don't receive enough appreciation or reward for your efforts, you need to ask if those rewards are really to be expected? You also need to ask yourself about the scope of your perspective: why are you performing these tasks, and what - in the long run - will be the result of your efforts? Meditate on this lesson.
