Daily Tarot Reading: 19 May, Taurus 2015

Happy Tuesday, Sault Ste. Marie! How about that warm weather yesterday to cap off our Victoria Day weekend? I sunbathed and it was glorious. But the long weekend is over, and we're back to work which means we're open today from 12pm to 8pm for walk-in consultations and shopping our selection of books, jewelry, stones, and incense. Come on in!

As for today's Tarot reading, the Millennium Clock brings the union of the 9 of Hearts and the 8 of Diamonds which teach the lesson that caring for another requires a disciplined approach to managing resources. It also teaches the difficult lesson that you can't help everybody. The world is a terrible place, no doubt about it - just ask the Buddhists who teach that the first lesson is, "Life is suffering."

We all do our best to not just survive, but also to find what pleasure is to be had in the day to day, and the truth is that - by the numbers - there's a lot of us who don't succeed at either of those goals. It's certainly possible to give a portion of your increase to help others, but your resources will quickly diminish. There's a point at which you must either say "no" to helping, or else be willing to sacrifice your own physical security and ability to care for the people closest to you.

Acknowledge the trouble in the world, but so too should you acknowledge your limitations. Choose wisely.
