Today marks the union of the 5 and 4 of Clubs and teaches the lesson that new directions can be difficult to follow and new beliefs can be difficult to adopt when one's identity or sense of self is strongly committed or, dare I say, "locked into" an incompatible path. In sales, we call this the law of consistency: once a person has stated in word or deed a particular course of action, he or she is unlikely to go against it because to do so would create a tremendous feeling of personal disagreement. Remember always that new and different aren't the same as unwelcome and bad!
